The Saab 9-4X ( also called saab 94x) is a medium sized sport utility vehicle, which will be launched by their Swedish manufacturers Saab Automobiles. The basic design of The Saab 9-4X is built on lines of Cadillac SRX. The manufacturing is planned during the year 2011 at Ramos Arizpe Co. Mexico. The major challenge for the company is to find the most suitable diesel engine for this SUV car particularly for the European market.

It is targeted to replace the old larger US version of Saab 9-7X. The production of Saab 9-7X was terminated in Dec 2008. The idea of The Saab 9-4X ( Saab 94X) came into existence in 2008 during the North American International Show.
It is to be noted that the production of crossover Saab 9-4x had commenced at the works of General Motors at Ramos Arizpe Mexico. According to the available information, 147 vehicles were produced in this plant. 49 cars were made in third week of Jan 2010.
However, in Feb 2010, this brand was sold to Spyker Cars who launched the 2012 Saab 94-x model at LA Auto Show in 2012. The production of this car is expected to be on the line of Saab 9-5 including both exteriors and interiors.
The Saab 9-4X promises to provide a car with essentially car dynamics. The cabin will be quite spacious with special attention on the driver’s cabin. Moreover, it will have plenty of room for cargo. The manufacturers plan to provide a flexible cargo management system in The Saab 9-4X.
The SUV is expected to be installed with a V6 engine of 3 liters capacity and a 2.8 liter turbocharger. Engine will be fitted in front; the vehicle will have front wheel drive. Saab 9-4X engine will be coupled to have a limit of 250 km/h and the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time within 6.4 seconds.

The most important factor that may affect the timing of Skyper’s is the timing to launch the model. GM motors had already commenced the winding up operation of Saab. It is feared that the launch in of the car may be substantially delayed due to this prominent reason. Although, Skypers have purchased this brand and are working on it, car will be still manufactured in Mexico by GM motors. The Saab 9-4X will be available in showrooms in US in May in the coming year. The sale may begin in the other global automobile markets in August.

The Saab 9-4X has expected price of $66,000 and will be furnished with ESP and TCS.
